Tops list of weekend stakes winners protected with FLAIR® Nasal Strips
Flair LLC, maker of the FLAIR Equine Nasal Strip, is pleased to congratulate Ms. Josephine Abercrombie’s DON’T LEAVE ME, who raced to victory in the $150,000 Bourbonette Oaks (gr. III) March 21 at Turfway Park. Conditioned by Malcolm Pierce, the Lemon Drop Kid filly closed ground willingly to win by three-quarters of a length, while earning 50 Longines Kentucky Oaks (gr. I) qualifying points.
The Pin Oak Stud homebred was one of 7-stakes winners protected with FLAIR Strips on Saturday. BRIDGET’S BIG LUVY & PAGE McKENNEY won at Laurel; PEBBLE BEACH BABY, TIZMAS & BEFORE YOU KNOW IT at Aqueduct and PAPACOOLPAPACOOL at Santa Anita.
On Sunday, TURCO BRAVO won the $100,000 Stymie Stakes at Aqueduct for trainer Gary Contessa. It was the first North American win for the Chilean-bred chestnut gelding. Also on Sunday, Richard Baltas trained WILD IN THE SADDLE to victory in the $100,000 Dream of Summer Stakes at Santa Anita. The weekend’s winners join a group of equine athletes who, won 4-stakes events on Saturday, March 7. SARAH SIS won the $150,000 Honeybee (gr. III) at Oaklawn Park, for trainer Ingrid Mason. SHAYJOLIE, GENTLEMEN’S BET, and SINGING KITTY also won for their connections.
